How to create a rule using between on the Almond+

The Between option for time based rules have cause a little bit of confusion among some of you if the comments on the forums are anything to go by. As such we’ve created a short screencast that will hopefully clear things up a little.

Rather than being an option for the trigger, it’s an option for the condition of the rule. For example, in the screencast below, if the door is closed between 8am and 8pm on weekdays, then the door will lock after 30 seconds. After 8pm and until 8am, the rule will not trigger, as the between condition is then false. The between option in the rules can be used for a lot of different things, but it can’t be used on its own, unlike the regular timer, as it needs an if condition to go alongside it.

Make sure that the Almond+ has the updated firmware R72 and then you can create the rule upon which you could receive the notifications on the Android app only, the next release of iOS app would support notifications.
